Job Title: Residential/Consumer Lender
Reports to: Chief Lending Officer
Job Type: Full Time
Position Overview: Originates residential and consumer loans in a community banking environment. Counsels customers, takes applications, conducts preliminary underwriting reviews, and submits loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval. Follows up to ensure that documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner from appropriate sources. Responsible for soliciting business and conducting sales-related activities outside of branch locations in order to meet specific loan volume origination goals.
Performs wide range of duties relating to the origination of residential and consumer loans. Meets standards and objectives defined by management for mortgage loan sales and cross-selling objectives. Assumes overall responsibility for the residential/consumer loan from application to closing relating to customer service and compliance with all laws, regulations, and Bank policy and procedure.

Education and Experience: Two or more years of sales experience or 3 years of banking and/or previous Mortgage Loan Origination experience. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements; visual and auditory skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient reading, writing, grammar, mathematics skills and word processing and spreadsheet skills. Excellent interpersonal relations and oral and written communicative skills. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Current knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn/obtain the following:
Preferred Education: A.B.S. or B.A. or B. S. degree in a related field of study.
Physical Requirements: This position requires a high degree of mobility. May be subject to prolonged sitting/standing, frequent use of hands and upper body to manipulate/grasp objects/branch equipment, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, lifting of 1 – 15 lbs. Must be able to travel by vehicle to customer locations/branches/meetings/seminars, and so forth.
*This position will mostly work out of our Bellevue branch but may work at another branch or branches at a later date.
