We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced individual to join our team as an Innovation Consultant have a focus on leading Insights, Culture and Education with growth opportunities within the Innovation professionals job family in FM InnoVentures as well as with our internal customer Staff Groups. This individual will play a critical role in the Company's innovation journey, responsible for (1) identifying, assimilating and assessing innovative insights from employees across the organization and from external channels to support strategic decision making, (2) fostering a culture of innovation within the organization, (3) developing education in collaboration with our existing enterprise training staff to strengthen our company’s innovation capabilities, and (4) bringing innovative thinking and capabilities to solutioning around prioritized business problems. The successful candidate will be skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing and leading workshops, partnering and relationship building with business unit leaders across the organization, and have a strong enthusiasm and aptitude for educating others.
This position will be based in Providence, Rhode Island
Collaborate with various business units to develop innovative solutions around prioritized business challenges and lead innovative initiatives, projects, and educational opportunities with a strong focus on Corporate Marketing, FM Global Academy and Human Resources.
Develop and implement a strategy for capturing and assessing insights from employees across the organization and from external scanning to identify areas for innovation and growth. As such, be an active contributor to and collaborator with the FM Global Insights Center of Excellence as led by Corporate Marketing.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand innovation challenges and opportunities across the organization, build support for employee innovation and encourage open communication.
Own the Innovation Hub and the FM InnoVentures Globalport page, their maintenance, updating and ongoing build-out.
Foster a culture of innovation by developing and implementing company-wide programs and initiatives to influence and inspire employees to embrace new ideas, innovative thinking, and continuous learning.
Develop, maintain and deliver training programs in collaboration with the enterprise training (FM Global Academy) staff to strengthen the innovation capabilities of employees at all levels. Presently, the foundation level training modules consists of Innovation Basics, 10 Innovation Principles and corresponding curriculum support for the Consultant Engineering Program (Field Engineer Training) and Manager Essentials.
Create/manage a portfolio of innovation events, workshops and other activities to engage and educate employees on the importance and principles of innovation.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in innovation and bring new ideas to the organization.
Collaborate with the InnoVentures Brand Manager to create and implement a communication strategy for promoting and highlighting our innovative culture, insights, and educational offerings both internally and externally.
Continuously assess and evaluate the success of innovation initiatives and educational programs, providing regular updates to stakeholders and making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Bachelor's degree in business, innovation or a related field
5 years of experience in innovation, strategy, or a related field
Proven track record of driving innovation in a corporate environment
Project management and educational program development experience
Strong understanding of innovative methodologies and tools
Ability to work in a challenging environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven track record of successfully driving change, fostering a culture of innovation, and developing and delivering educational/training programs
Initiative-taking, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for driving results
Required Education:
4-year bachelor’s degree in business, innovation or a related field
Highly Preferred Education:
MBA would be a plus
Project management qualifications (i.e., PMP certification)
Required Work Experience:
5 years of experience in innovation, strategy, or a related field
Highly Preferred Work Experience:
Strong project management and educational program development experience
Experience with Workfront and MS Project

The salary range for this position is $114,300 to $164,20. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
