Construction Management Director oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Develops and implements quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Construction Management Director reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Construction Management Director builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Construction Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Construction Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     By joining our team as a Director of Project Management, you’re responsible for leading, managing and holding your team accountable, including the project managers and technicians, to ensure they’re performing to the standards established by Rising Eagle. For work product, you’re the internal, logistics person that keeps the train on the track, ensuring that all projects are staffed and equipped properly, that specific job requirements have been clearly communicated to the team and that the project remains on time and on budget.

    ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide support to team members and customers in challenging situations and use tools and data to organize, document and measure KPIs and propose action plans to elevate customer experiences
    • Are Accountable to Project Performance You will drive results by leading people, demonstrating an ability to work well under pressure; being a highly effective communicator and problem solver. You handle the logistical coordination so your team doesn’t have to think about what they need. You monitor project progression, sticking  with and supporting your team until the job is done, provide updates and performance feedback to key stakeholders and manage collections
    • Managing Day to Day Operations You will assist our CEO and COO in driving operational initiatives and ensuring profitability and efficiency of the organization. You will cultivate creativity & disruption to ensure the team and work product represents our brand and culture, using our policies, processes, values, and best practices as your guide

    JOB DUTIES INCLUDE

    • Understands the overarching company strategy, as well as communicates and models the core values of the organization, to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees
    • Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to your direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results
    • Serve as Air Traffic Control by assigning jobs and tasks to team members and supporting schedule management
    • Supervises the day-to-day operations of your team, escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessary
    • Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to provide the highest level of customer service for the business
    • Assists project managers with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
    • Communicates information including major team milestones, developments, and concerns
    • Identifies training and development opportunities that will assist your direct reports in achieving enhanced performance
    • Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data
    • Ensures an appropriate resolution of operational customer concerns in your direct leader’s absence
    • Identifies, analyze, forecast and mitigate potential hazards,clearly communicating these risks to your teams
    • Onboarding and training new staff members
    • Demonstrate proper wear, use, care, and maintenance of Company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment
    • Oversees and ensures job site personnel adherence to ANSI/IICRC and all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations 
    • Follow and oversee safe work practices and adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
    • Available as an emergency responder 24/7/365
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Job Qualifications:

    • 10 years experience in restoration and/or construction or other technical function required
    • Ability to establish goals, guide employee performance to ensure the quality and completion of work assignments
    • Experience with risk management and quality assurance control
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other Microsoft products
    • PMP / PRINCE2 certification is a plus
    • Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the growth and job performance of direct reports
    • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
    • Ability to evaluate and drive performance of self and others
    • Ability to understand and apply management principles concerning budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses
    • Ability to safely and properly operate computer equipment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner, following instructions and giving attention to detail
