Job Title: Construction Safety Professional

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview
REQUIREMENT- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen
Travel and Housing Allowance will be provided
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Implement US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements.
- Review subcontractor safety programs for completeness and compliance with policies, regulation, and owner contractual requirements.
- Review Site Safety and Health Plans and Job Hazard Analyses for all project contractors based on contractual requirements
- Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, and Owner/contractual requirements.
- Conduct effective worker orientation program employees and administer and record their participation.
- Conduct safety training.
- Supervise safety of all onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Ensure all personnel onsite are equipped with proper PPE.
- Interface with inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers and government officials
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to approved plans and specifications
- Provide risk assessment of construction to evaluate safety hazards and offer remedial action.
- Evaluate contractor operational practices/equipment for safety compliance.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Professional for federal construction management projects
- Must have experience with administering requirements of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA.
- Must have experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects
- Must have current OSHA 30-Hour card and CPR/First Aid certifications
- Must have 40HR EM385 Certification
- Fall Protection Competent Person Certification, preferred
- Knowledge and experience in plans and requirements as a construction management services contractor for civil works dam projects
- Experience with USACE RMS software, preferred
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methods
