Construction Foreman jobs in Oregon
Construction Foreman directly supervises workers' day-to-day work on construction or installation projects. Coordinates subcontractor scheduling and the delivery and placement of on-site materials and equipment as required to execute each project phase. Being a Construction Foreman monitors productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions. Additionally, Construction Foreman completes or tracks daily time and labor reports. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Construction Foreman supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Construction Foreman typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Requirements:
- On Site Management
- Reads, interprets, ensures compliance with plans and specifications
- Ensures labor production is met, quality is maintained
- Provides direction, training, problem resolution
- Performs calculations for material and supply requirements
- Reads and interprets blueprints
- Safety
- Ensures safety and security of construction project
- Client Relations
- Maintains good client relations
- Perform Carpentry Tasks
- Perform rough and finished carpentry from beginning to end
- Apply sheathing for walls and roofs
- Install various types and forms of paneling
- Constructs concrete forms; pours, finishes and repairs concrete pads, footings, stairs, and related items
- Weather barrier installation
- Constructs complete window and door frames
- Install windows and hangs doors
- Lays finished flooring
- Builds and installs customized shelves, cabinets and/or counters
- Operates general construction equipment on site
- Starts work on time
- Follows safety rules
- Has reliable transportation to jobsite
- Has standard hand tools
- Minimum 4 years carpenter level experience required
