Construction Foreman jobs in New Mexico

Crew working foreman will work on a construction site and supervise a small two- or three-person crew. You will be responsible for managing all project tasks assigned by the project manager. The working foreman is responsible for the overall safety and health of all crew members while performing assigned tasks. Working foreman is expected to schedule crew daily work plan, train crew members as needed on job duties and responsibilities.  Duties include ensuring that crew has the appropriate materials, supplies, equipment, and tools to successfully perform their work assignments in accordance with project plans and company policies and procedures. In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for maintaining safe working conditions by following established work practices and guidelines while performing assigned tasks on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside crew and supervise crew members and direct work assignments;
• Schedule daily work assignment of crew. Approve crew time sheets;
• Operate various types/models of machinery as needed;
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools as required to ensure safe operation;
• Maintain daily records of activities performed by crew members as required;
• Coordinate work activities with subcontractors as required;
• Report any safety issues directly to the Project Manager;
• Provide training at as required to crew members;
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications: 

• Ability to work independently. Ability to be flexible when required;
• Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Possess crew management skills;
• Strong organizational skills are required;
• Ability to coordinate and perform project work assignments from inception to completion.
