Construction Foreman directly supervises workers' day-to-day work on construction or installation projects. Coordinates subcontractor scheduling and the delivery and placement of on-site materials and equipment as required to execute each project phase. Being a Construction Foreman monitors productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions. Additionally, Construction Foreman completes or tracks daily time and labor reports. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Summary:
The Foreman position will work on site in Bismarck, ND under the direct supervision of the Superintendent. They will organize and lead a crew of sub-contractors to successfully complete commercial projects such as multi-family housing, hospitality and apartment living. A foreman’s responsibility will include schedule preparation, preplanning and resource forecasting related to projects. They may also assist in material requisition from suppliers and performance management of the vendors. They assure the accuracy of financial forecasts that tie to the project schedules. They ensure projects are completed according to project specifications. The Foreman will manage project team resources, training and require an expertise in the construction field.
Essential Job Functions:
· Cohesively and effectively manage a team of at least 2 people.
· Utilize Contract Software to generate purchase orders and other functions as required.
· Manage material requisitions.
· Maintain project documents within the Contract Software, standardized filing system and server.
· Facilitate questions regarding projects, material and drawings.
· Assure site is safe and secure.
