Construction Foreman jobs in Florida

Construction Foreman directly supervises workers' day-to-day work on construction or installation projects. Coordinates subcontractor scheduling and the delivery and placement of on-site materials and equipment as required to execute each project phase. Being a Construction Foreman monitors productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions. Additionally, Construction Foreman completes or tracks daily time and labor reports. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Construction Foreman supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Construction Foreman typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Foreman Expectations:

    As a Foreman, you play a critical role in the field management of utility construction projects, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of daily operations. You are responsible for overseeing and coordinating utility construction projects, as well having strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and quality.

    This position involves organizing and supervising construction activities, adhering to company procedures, working closely with the project team, engaging in physically demanding work, and ensuring efficient and successful project completion.

    • Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned to contribute to overall project success.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in construction are a plus.
    • DOT Medical Card and Class A or B CDL required, if operating a company vehicle.
    • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, with repeated lifting (up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
    • In-depth knowledge of utility construction methods, proper use of tools and materials, and safety practices.
    • 3-5 years supervisory experience in utility construction.
    • Proficient in computer skills and ability to use various software.
