Part Time Position: 20 hours/week; Max 1070 hours, at $18.00/hour
JOB FUNCTION:
The Conservation Genetics Lab Technician will assist with laboratory procedures related to several ongoing projects in the Conservation Genetics Laboratory in the Conservation & Research Department at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Conservation Genetics Laboratory Manager and the Research Scientist, Genetics.

QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to spend long periods of time in the laboratory performing complex protocols, often standing or moving between equipment. Must take careful notes and contribute to laboratory organization. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent organizational and time management skills. The ability to respond effectively to multiple, changing, and often conflicting priorities is essential. The candidate must also be able to interact effectively with the general public, co-workers, and peer professionals.
