Providence Health Plan is calling a System Configuration Analyst who will:
Be responsible for the oversight and configuration of all applicable clinical information systems (CareAdvance, CareAdvanceProvider) used within the Care Management and Medical Management departments
Work closely with the Information Services (IS) and Engineering departments to assess & optimize system functionality through root-cause analysis
Identify long-term fixes for data, file extract, workflow, display, application environments, quality testing, and data migration issues
Maintain a working knowledge of other interfaced claims, data, application environments, and information systems used in the Health Plan (e.g. Facets, CES, CIM, JAMA, etc.)
Be responsible for configuration and testing of letters, assessments, queues, forms, questionnaires, etc., to support the operational components of CM and UM reviews
Be responsible for all CareAdvance Provider portal configuration and provider training and adoption
Directly support all HCPCs/CPT coding configuration requests to support over 400 Plan policies
Support all JAMA related change-request forms, prior-authorization and non-covered lists, Provider Alerts and their prospective publication will be the responsibility of this analyst
Collaborate and communicate the business needs of the department at both clinical and technical levels to our business partners (e.g. Cognizant), both internal and external clinical staff (e.g. Nurses, Physicians, Pharmacists), the Clinical Analytics team, Information Services (IS) staff (e.g. Business Analysts, Developers, Programmers, Engineers) and other departments within the Health Plan
Be responsible for attending a variety of committee meetings to assess changes that will impact the system applications (down-times, upgrades, new groups/lines of business, etc.) as well as represent the HCS department
Be the point of contact for PHP business Partners, both internal and external, as they relate to the claims and documentation systems used within the respective departments
Be the technical content expert for upgrades, system implementations, and optimization work within HCS

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration, IT (with emphasis on Health Information Systems) -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
2 years of healthcare experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1 years of configuration analyst, business analyst or equivalent experience
Experience with Clinical and Care Management systems such as Change Healthcare Interqual Connect, Cognizant CareAdvance Enterprise Suite (CCA/CAP), Trizetto Facets, Trizetto Communication System (TCS)
Project management, Six Sigma, Lean, Change Acceleration Process (CAP) experience
Experience with electronic medical records including Epic
Experience with project management methodologies including resource planning, scheduling, development of necessary documentation including definition of support requirements and migration plan and testing
