Overview:
The Lead Configuration Technical Development Coordinator is responsible for training all levels of Configuration staff on system related functions. Manages the design of the configuration training program in collaboration with the Configuration management team. Develops training materials and guides. Performs all activities related to training, tracking and documenting staff performance of operational processes for the Configuration department. Works with Configuration leadership, Technical Development and Quality Assurance teams to identify trends for training opportunities, with an emphasis on ensuring configuration data and other work output is accurate.
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with Configuration management team, Senior Configuration Analysts and Training, Auditing and Project Management teams, develops training program courses and schedules training sessions

Conducts training and/or works with other subject matter experts to prepare and conduct trainings for both new staff and ongoing staff development

Designs and maintains effective written training materials and tools to support learning

Writes and/or provides input on Configuration department procedures

Monitors progression of trainees through one-on-one observation and audit results

Provides feedback to Configuration management team on staff performance relating to accuracy of work and ability to apply lessons

Participates in process improvement activities

Maintain current knowledge of all configuration areas of responsibility, and related PHC Policy and Procedure, Medi-Cal Provider Manual, Title 22 regulations, CMS Medicare regulations, and Knox Keene regulations

Maintain current knowledge of all PHC processes that impact Configuration department responsibilities including but not limited to: Claims, Member Services, Finance, Pharmacy, Health Services, Provider Relations, IT-EDI, IT- Amisys, IT- Webteam processes

Provide user support and training to external departments on new applications upon request and approval of Director or Associate Director of Configuration

Support configuration related project and testing activities

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Experience with AMISYS Advance or other claims payment system, fee schedules, and procedure/diagnosis code tables preferred. Prior training and/or auditing experience desirable. Minimum five (5) years of healthcare experience preferably in a managed care environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret and understand technical requirements to translate into training documentation. Working knowledge of MS Windows related
applications and experience with database applications, typing, and 10key use.

Ability to use a computer keyboard. More than 60% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor. When required, ability to move, carry, or lift objects of varying size, weighing up to 10 lbs.
