    Responsibilities

    Federal Revenue Analysis Supervisor within Revenue Management Unit (RMU)

    Public Consulting Group is currently seeking a Federal Revenue Analysis Supervisor. This position will be part of the team responsible for PCG’s federal revenue management for the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families (DCF), the agency in charge of foster care and other child welfare activities in the Commonwealth.

     

    The Federal Revenue Analysis Supervisor will oversee staff and processes of the team responsible for data analysis, federal claiming, and quality assurance related to federal funding for DCF, particularly the Title IV-E and Medicaid programs.

     

    An ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent quantitative abilities, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and organize activities for themselves and others who is interested in supporting the work of state government and/or human service organizations.

     

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Provide overall and technical leadership of activities and outcomes for team focused on financial and data analysis, compiling quarterly federal claims, administering a time study of DCF employees, and responding to ad hoc data requests.
    • Directly supervise team members including weekly check-ins, providing direction and feedback, and performance management.
    • Ensure team’s compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.
    • Monitor performance measurements for team activities to help ensure that team meets all contractual responsibilities.
    • Use critical thinking and data analysis tools to respond to DCF and PCG management requests.
    • Proactively pursue continuous improvement to increase compliance, value, accuracy, and efficiency of the team’s work.
    • Develop and maintain a robust quality assurance process for all activities, data, and reports developed for DCF and for PCG management.
    • Lead client meetings and trainings in a variety of settings.
    • Maintain positive working relationships with the clients, colleagues, and team members.
    • Collaborate with PCG staff on other teams, fostering an environment of information sharing and mutual support across teams.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state laws and policies.
    • Lead/participate in state and federal audits and reviews.
    • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures and training materials for team functions.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Ability to organize and plan work efficiently within set time limits for self and others.
    • Strong proficiency with use of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Access, SQL, and/or Visual Basic language preferred.
    • Critical thinking for the sake of problem solving and identifying process improvements.
    • Detail orientation.
    • Excellent communication and client-facing skills, including presentations and facilitating meetings.
    • Advanced understanding of and ability to interpret relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and policies preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team.
    • Demonstrates initiative.
    • Value diversity and take pride in a team that brings together diverse thoughts, perspectives, and expression.

     

    Required Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in quantitative field.
    • 5 years of relevant work experience.

     

    Location:

    Compensation

    Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $70,000 - 75,000  and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 10 %. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
