As a Configuration Management Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of developing configuration management processes and maintaining accurate records of product configurations. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing best practices, and contributing to the overall success of configuration management efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Configuration Control and Documentation:
○ Prepare and maintain Configuration Management planning documentation.
○ Assist with the Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) meetings.
○ Control and manage product documentation ensuring proper version control.
2. Build and Deployment Processes:
○ Perform engineering drawing, tool drawing, and other product documentation releases.
○ Assist in preparing As-Designed As-Built reports.
3. Environment Audits and Metrics:
○ Generate Configuration Management (CM) metrics.
○ Conduct audits of processes and policy compliance.
○ Provide continuous process improvements.
4. Change Management and Baselines:
○ Manage or assist in the change process and status accounting.
○ Maintain product baselines.
○ Document interim baselines for Configuration Items (CIs).
5. Collaboration and Communication:
○ Interface with technical and administrative personnel within the company and customers.
○ Support bids and proposal activities as required.
○ Participate in customer reviews and audits.
Qualifications:
● Education: A four-year college degree, or equivalent, preferably in a technical discipline.
● Skills:
○ Familiarity with Windows concepts.
○ Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
○ Strong interpersonal skills and tact.
Knowledge of continuous improvement and continuous improvement concepts
Location Requirement: This position is located on a federal facility. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and are required to pass a comprehensive background check to meet the security clearance standards necessary for work in this environment.
