    Mill Top Banquet and Conference Center, an urban sophisticated event venue located in Noblesville, Indiana is seeking a Sales and Event Coordination to join our team. Desirable candidate must be flexible, as schedule (days/hours) can vary weekly based on demand, but full time is expected. Weekends are required. Individuals must be outgoing and have great interpersonal skills. Individuals will assist each couple in the planning, coordination, and execution of their special day. Candidate must possess a positive attitude, reliability, and excellent customer service skills. Substantial experience in wedding planning or coordination is a must.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage incoming calls
    • Use different social media platforms (Facebook, the knot, Wedding Wire) to generate interest in venue
    • Lead tours of the Mill Top to prospective clients
    • Process new contracts
    • Keep records of customer interactions and file documents
    • Take the extra mile to engage customers
    • ·Conducting multiple meetings with each client
    • Recording and updating all information obtained during meetings and other communications with each client
    • Tracking our planning process with each client to ensure that they remain on target
    • Coordination of all vendors involved for each wedding
    • Creating and maintaining timelines, layouts, estimates, invoices and other necessary documents for each wedding and client
    • Conducting weddings and events from start to finish which will typically require working 12-16 hour shifts on your feet (one to three times per week)
    • Working with the set-up crew to execute layout and décor requests of each client
    • This position is responsible for the planning and coordination of numerous weddings per year. Candidate must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision. Desirable candidate must have a passion for special event management, be highly personable and customer service focused.
    • Required Skills:
    • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of successful wedding planning and/or coordination
    • STRONG organization with attention to detail
    • Ability to calmly handle high-stress and high-pressure situations with poise
    • Excellent written/verbal communication
    • Top-notch hospitality and customer service skills
    • Capability to proactively address clients’ needs
    • Ability to assess and prioritize workload
    • Ability to work successfully in a team but also independently and display initiative
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time with a high level of expertise and skill
    • Excellent problem-solving
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
    • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is necessary.
    • Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
    • Candidate will have a working understanding of Windows 10 and be comfortable using Microsoft Office.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $30,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
