Reporting to the Director of Conference Services, this position provides logistical coordination for external conference and event operations, including summer overnight camps, corporate meetings, social functions, intern housing and registration services.
Assist the Director with long term visioning and strategic revenue growth goals. Supervise student workers and support their development through professional internship opportunities and mentoring.

Responsibilities :
develop and oversee the summer intern housing program
Manage client financial and contractual obligations; negotiate contract-binding services and sign agreements with external clients on behalf of the University;
create accurate detailed invoices for 150-200 events each year and maintain accountability for all accounts
Direct operational policies and processes for event and conference management; consult and collaborate on critical protection of minors policies;
interpret and apply tax code and liability insurance regulations
Provide supervision, mentorship and professional development; responsible for the recruitment and co-supervision of 8-10 full time summer employees and 3-6 academic year student workers
Requirements :
Associate’s degree in Hospitality, Business or related field preferred; combination of education and professional experience may substitute for degree
Minimum of one year related experience; knowledge of legal obligations related to insurance liability, tax exemption eligibility, protection of minors and customer relationship management software is a plus
Serve in a summer on-call rotation to direct emergency response protocols and to support staff during evenings and weekends
