Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher creates, smoothes, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Responsibilities:
- Spread, level and smooth concrete
- Mold expansion joints and edges
- Place concrete into forms and finish according to specified textures
- Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience placing and finishing concrete, preferably on large commercial jobs
- Proficient use of concrete finishing tools and/or equipment
- Preferred but not required: proficiency in concrete form work, decorative stamp work, concrete saw cutting, and/or tying rebar
