Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher creates, smoothes, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Concrete and Terrazzo Finisher performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Position: Machine Operator - Finisher/Diecutter
Key Responsibilities
- Operate finisher/diecutter to produce job according to specification.
- Make ready finisher/diecutter.
- Load substrate, install tooling and rewind press rolls.
- Ensure that print, die cutting, and label count meet specifications.
- Web press rolls through the finisher/diecutter and adjust feed and tension controls.
- Search for and correct problems.
- Inspect labels while finisher/diecutter is running.
- Make quick corrections to avoid expensive losses of substrate.
- Oil and clean the finisher/diecutter and make minor repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
Requirements
- Machine operator experience a plus.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving
- A team player with great communication skills
- Physical strength and stamina – must be able to load printed rolls into rewinder up to 150lbs with the use of a roll mover.
