Computer Operator jobs in Mississippi

SaiTech has a current opening for a Computer Operator II. This position shall be physically manned during early AM and late PM shifts. Rotational on-site day schedule. The position has the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for handling Tier I/II activities of incidents by researching, documenting, resolving and/or escalating incidents to Tier II/III support.
• Responsible for provisioning IT service requests using various government furnished applications.
• Attend all assigned meetings and engage in communications with other contractors.
• Perform outreach activities, including developing outreach material, interface with NASA IT customers, and provide recommendations for future outreach topics.
• Submit SSC GFE requests/CITR Requests and review for validity and correctness and track orders until completion.
• Responsible for answering phone calls from users and provide Tier I/II support, utilizing remote tools such as Microsoft Teams or Remote Desk Protocol (RDP) to assist with ticket resolution. Responsible for software installs of third-party software, testing and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for working to ensure efficient and accurate completion of production processes according to established scheduled. Great attention to details required.
• Perform troubleshooting and technical support on desktops, printers, plotters, and mobile devices, including iPhone and Samsung phones, iPads, Macs, and tablets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of IT-related experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• Able to perform shiftwork (early AM, late PM shifts)
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Associates degree in computer-related field preferred
• 2-4 years of IT experience
• NASA experience a plus

Education Contract Equivalent Statement

• Associates degree in IT-related field, or
• 4 years of related experience
