Primary Functions:
The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, possessing exceptional customer service skills. This individual will be responsible for providing outstanding end-user support for Technology Services. This includes, but is not limited to, support for end-user computer systems, portable devices, multi-function copiers, network access, email systems, and supported software applications.
A key requirement for this role is the ability to work both independently and eficiently, analyzing situations and providing assistance without supervision. Simultaneously, the candidate must be able to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
As a Computer Technician, the candidate will ensure the daily functionality of all end-user systems by providing technical support to all end-users, ranging from students to college administration. This role involves delivering high- quality customer service, which includes effective listening and questioning to fully understand the end-user's inquiry.
The candidate will stay updated with the latest web browsers, operating systems, and applications used on campus. They will also participate in cross-functional IT projects, assist in testing system upgrades and new applications, and help supervise student workers.
The Computer Technician role requires a high degree of flexibility. The individual must be prepared to work during evenings, holidays, and weekends, when necessary, even when the college is not in session. This role requires a balance of individual initiative and team collaboration to ensure the smooth operation of our technology services.
