Computer Operations Supervisor supervises computer operations, acting as a team resource for guidance and support on complex or unusual issues. Implements policies and procedures to perform routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and its peripherals. Being a Computer Operations Supervisor continuously monitors the efficacy of computer operations, backup processes, system monitors, and server availability to ensure operation goals are met. Analyzes and records error messages to diagnose issues and works with impacted groups to provide a timely solution. Additionally, Computer Operations Supervisor recommends potential equipment upgrades to improve the capabilities of computer operations. Ensures computer operations activities meet pre-established production targets and maintain operating budgets. May require an associate degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. The Computer Operations Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Computer Operations Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. To assist the Cambium Spa Manager with the overall supervision and direction of Cambium. Responsible for oversight of SpaSoft scheduling & booking processes, inventory, scheduling of programs such as yoga, and may assist in training of reception and ambassador staff. May also provide reflexology and other related wellness services not requiring a license for Schweitzer guests. REQUIREMENTS: Must be available weekends and holidays ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Will contribute to the overall vision, direction and implementation of Cambium and its programs by performing the following: Possess the ability to work without direct supervision. Oversee the operation of Cambium in absence of manager, provide leadership and oversight of the programs, services and staff members in the spa when the manager is not present. Inspire a service culture to deliver quality experiences. Greet guests, answer phone calls, assist guests with questions regarding spa services. Accurately book, change and cancel spa appointments, charge for services applied. Financially accountable for sales functions of the spa. Organize and maintain information systems, sales systems and booking protocols. Assist manager in training staff to protocols Be able to perform duties of reception and ambassador positions as described in separate job descriptions. Assist in keeping paperwork, including client intake forms with sensitive information, organized and privately stored. Assist with inventory management. Perform prep work, assist with properly cleaning and restocking rooms as required. Assist with washing and folding of all linens used in treatment rooms. Help uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures. May assist with other programs associated with the spa (ie yoga, reflexology) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Responsible for up to 8 hours of combined standing/ desk activity. Will lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds rarely. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, balance, feel and reach above shoulder level occasionally to frequently. Hearing, speech, sight, walking, use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, are required. 100% inside and some potential outside worksite, exposed to all moisture levels and temperature changes. Hazards are ice and snow. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Effective leadership skills and strong work ethic, Ability to inspire, prioritize and delegate. Some knowledge of massage modalities and possess a general understanding of various body treatments. Excellent communication skills both oral and written; computer skills with Microsoft Office required; excellent guest service skills; detailed, accurate, and organized. Winter Sports enthusiast and knowledge of mountain environment preferred. ATTRIBUTES: Professional manner, positive attitude, patient, confident, has initiative, and enjoys inside work. EDUCATION: Some college preferred. EXPERIENCE: Supervisor experience preferred, some massage experience preferred, knowledge of professional spa services and treatments, customer service experience preferred. Resort experience preferred. LICENSE: CPR and first aid training preferred, subject to background check and motor vehicle records check UNIFORM: Will provide own clothes to meet dress standards, logo shirt provided. APPEARANCE STANDARDS: Schweitzer Mountain upholds the following appearance standards: Jewelry must be kept to a minimum. Jewelry in visible piercings are limited to: In the facial area (eyebrow or side nostril) which is either a stud or a ring no larger than ½ inch. No rings in noses, please—studs are acceptable. Only studs or rings smaller than ½ inch can be used on the upper ear. Large hoops or gauges on the lower ear may present a safety issue. If you have piercings in your mouth/lips/cheeks etc. you will be asked to use a clear nylon stud or other low-visibility item while you are on-duty. Tattoos: At no time can tattoos that may offend guests or co-workers be visible. Cosmetics and perfume/cologne should be kept to a minimum Hair should be worn so as not to cover eyes or facial features. Facial hair must be kept clean. Please do not start a new beard during the season. Good personal hygiene should be practiced. MACHINES, PROGRAMS AND TOOLS OPERATED: Computer; Microsoft Windows and Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point; SpaSoft Sales System.
