Computer Operations Supervisor supervises computer operations, acting as a team resource for guidance and support on complex or unusual issues. Implements policies and procedures to perform routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and its peripherals. Being a Computer Operations Supervisor continuously monitors the efficacy of computer operations, backup processes, system monitors, and server availability to ensure operation goals are met. Analyzes and records error messages to diagnose issues and works with impacted groups to provide a timely solution. Additionally, Computer Operations Supervisor recommends potential equipment upgrades to improve the capabilities of computer operations. Ensures computer operations activities meet pre-established production targets and maintain operating budgets. May require an associate degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. The Computer Operations Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Computer Operations Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Position Purpose:

    The primary purpose for this position is perform computer operation duties and monitor, maintain and operate computer systems and related peripheral devices.

    Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

    The following duties are normal for this job and should not be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

    • Conducts draw-style drawings utilizing digital draw systems
    • Ability to operate Microsoft Windows Servers and troubleshoot server errors
    • Monitors and executes daily draw processing
    • Prepares, plans and approves documentation supporting successful completion of draw activities
    • Performs daily updates of the TEL IVR system, TEL web page, and internal databases
    • Monitors and executes production processing to assure accuracy and timely completion of work load
    • Assists in testing of Origin Digital Draw computer systems, TEL IVR systems, and Internal Control Systems
    • Compares and documents ICS and gaming vendor’s production processing results
    • Troubleshoots and reports production processing problems to appropriate personnel for resolution
    • Ability to operate and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Servers and PCs
    • Performs preventative maintenance on peripheral devices
    • Performs daily back-up of system and data files
    • Retrieves files and reports from vendors
    • Distributes daily reports
    • Ability to work rotating shifts (day/night), as well as weekends and holidays
    • Other duties as assigned

    HOURS: 4:30 pm - 3:00 am - 10 hour shift 4 days a week

    Education and/or Experience:

    High school Diploma (or GED) required. Associate’s Degree in Information Technology preferred.

    One to two years of data processing experience with working knowledge of command line interfaces, commands and command procedures, Microsoft Office products; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
