Computer Operations Shift Supervisor supervises and monitors the computer operations of one or more shifts. Leads the operating and monitoring of computer equipment and delegates workflow as necessary. Being a Computer Operations Shift Supervisor uses established procedures to perform routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and its peripherals. Observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on the monitor of the terminal to identify faulty output or machine stoppage. Additionally, Computer Operations Shift Supervisor may require an associate degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Responsibilities:
Provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
Assist in always maintaining clean work areas.
Assist in training new team members.
Assist with monthly inventories.
Learn and use hotel reservation system and F&B POS system.
Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation and proactive planning, and endeavor to be organizationally savvy with a keen focus on detail.
Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, amenities, and selling strategies.
Supervises Front Desk and F&B staff.
Monitor room availability and offer AGM and GM assistance in yield management and restrictions.
Keeps open verbal and written communication between management and associates.
Assists in providing associates with tools and equipment required to perform their duties.
Participate in weekly BEO meetings with sales team to ensure proper understanding and execution.
Be present and lead the F&B team for proper execution of any events.
Be present and lead the Front Desk team during high volume arrival or departure times leading them to successful shifts of incoming and outgoing guests.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained in all areas.
Make decisions on any problems that may arise during shifts worked and support associates during troubleshooting.
Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure seamless communication on various aspects of the hotel operation including proper communication with maintenance, housekeeping and sales teams.
Have a thorough understanding of emergency and security procedures.
Must be able to cover any call-off shift as per proper chain of command.
