Computer Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of an organization's computer operations. Implements department policies and procedures to effectively operate and maintain computer systems and peripherals. Being a Computer Operations Manager manages the operation of information system equipment including scheduling workflow, maintenance, and capacity plans. Continuously monitors the efficacy of computer operations, backup processes, system monitors, and server availability to ensure operation goals are met. Additionally, Computer Operations Manager researches and evaluates potential equipment upgrades to improve the capabilities of computer operations. Ensures computer operations activities meet pre-established production targets and maintain operating budgets. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Computer Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Job Summary:
Monitors operations to ensure and verify compliance of established procedures pertaining to food safety, quality and customer specifications during the manufacturing process of our products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Education and Experience:
Food manufacturing experience highly preferred. The candidate must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to follow directions, able to work under minimal supervision, and record data neatly and accurately. The candidate must be willing to work weekends and overtime hours.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the public.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software, Outlook, and Internet software.

This job operates in a manufacturing environment and occasionally in an office setting. Extended periods of standing while walking the production floor and occasional period of sitting using a computer or other devices are common.
