Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer programs and sets up CNC milling, lathe, or other machinery according to blueprint specifications. Reads and interprets technical blueprints and design models and inputs the product design into the computer modeling software. Being a Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer adjusts machine settings to the desired product specifications, and troubleshoots and maintains the machine. Utilizes G or M code and CAM software (MasterCAM,CAMWorks or others). Additionally, Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer tests accuracy of settings and programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     Position Overview:

    The Quality Control Technician will ensure that products are designed, built, and produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Assist in ensuring the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, and ISO 9001 requirements.
    • Assist with documentation of manufacturing processes and control plans.
    • Assist with managing inspection gages, (qualify, calibration, maintain, assemble for jobs, etc.)
    • Provide inspection services, (incoming material, in process, subcontracted and final).
    • Assist in providing CNC Machinist training on proper use of inspection equipment.

    Qualifications/Education:

    To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to complete each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.     • GED or High school diploma.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience with inspection of CNC machine components.
    • Strong knowledge of blue prints including GD&T.
    • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and/or 5S principle knowledge a plus.
    • CMM experience a plus.

    Proficient in the use of all measuring instruments, including but not limited to:
    • CMM
    • Profilometer
    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Depth Micrometers
    • Height Gages
    • Dial Bore Gages

    Basic Expectations: Attention to detail; Mature, professional interaction with team members, guests, and business contacts; Ability to work safely under pressure; Ability to prioritize work; Ability to keep confidences and keep work confidential; Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
