Areas of support typically include desktop/laptop computers, printers and other peripheral equipment, as well as basic software and networking support. Additionally, Computer Equipment Repairer may require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.   • Duties

    • You will serve as a Industrial Equipment Repairer in the Facilities and Power Plant department at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic (NCTAMS LANT).
    • You will assist Electric Power controller during evening and night shifts.
    • You will start, inspect, make operating decisions and secure diesel engines and related auxiliaries.
    • You will perform preventative maintenance of large diesel engines, pumps, compressors, boilers, and other plant equipment.

    • This position requires a Forklift license, Category 3 bridge crane operator, Category 3 cab operator license, HAZMAT coordinator, and WHE program qualifications of Certifying Official.
    • This position requires a Load Test Director, mechanical inspector, mechanic, elevated rail inspector, electrical inspector, electrician, rigging gear and rigging gear inspector.

    • Operating and maintaining diesel electric generating equipment; electric distribution systems; oil-fired generating equipment; residual fuel storage, transmission, treatment and auxiliary equipment
    • Maintaining proper coolant, fuel, and lubricant levels.
    • Utilizing all types of hand tools, power tools, and power assist equipment for making repairs and adjustments to equipment.
    • Operating drill press, hydraulic press, pipe threading machine and many other powered hand tools.
