Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures meant to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Company's compliance reporting system and investigation of compliance concerns with an appropriate response process. Responsible for coordination of multiple intake formats, including but not limited to toll free hotline, emails, letters, website inquires, internal communication systems, and social media.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assists with compliance investigations and audits as identified in Office of Inspector General Work Plan and the Compliance Work Plan at the direction of the Sr. Director of Compliance and/or Chief Compliance Officer.
* Reviews and audits compliance investigations for accuracy and completeness at the direction of the Sr. Director of Compliance and/or Chief Compliance Officer.
* Maintains confidentiality and discretion with sensitive data and information.
* Develops compliance training material(s) and perform on-going compliance training as needed.
* Assists with the development and implementation of compliance and HIPAA policies and procedures.
* Oversees the process to ensure all employees and vendors are screened against the OIG/GSA Exclusion List.
* Coordinates the implementation and monitors the Compliance Exit Interview process.
* Assists with preparation for Board meeting and leadership meeting presentation materials, including audit and compliance data summaries.
* Partners with home office onboarding as needed and any other projects, audits, and investigations as directed by the Chief Compliance Officer.
* Minimal travel including overnight stay as necessary.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor Degree
Experience: 1-3 years
Licenses and Certifications:
Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) Preferred
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
