The role of the Quality Assurance & Compliance (QAC) Director plays an important role in maintaining that integrity.


    The Quality Assurance & Compliance (QAC) Director is responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing the quality and compliance initiatives in direct collaboration with the Executive and program administration teams. The position will lead the execution of quality assurance and compliance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. It assists with the evaluation of funded projects and assessing community needs and is responsible for performance and development of the Direct Services and Compliance Department staff members.


    We expect qualified candidates to have:

    • Bachelor's Degree Minimum required.

    Outstanding candidates will also have these preferred skills: 

    • Master's Degree
    • Experience and ability to Supervise effectively and efficiently following the latest management practices as provided by the Executive Team.
    • Collaboration, Organizational and Time Management Skills.


    Role and Responsibilities:

    1. Provides oversight for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP- utility assistance) and direct services program operations.
    2. Manages Facility and Safety Coordination, including oversight of the maintenance specialist and compliance specialist positions.
    3. Resource Development Oversight and Guidance- the position oversees the Resource Development staff position; ensuring their efforts are in line with the agency mission, vision, and strategic plan.
    4. Ensures all staff under supervision have proper training, Professional Development Plans, and support to properly complete tasks and support the QA & Compliance Division.
    5. Develops and maintains the Agency’s quality assurance and compliance policies, procedures, and controls as developed with Management Team.
    6. Designs and implements a compliance program to monitor and report on adherence to compliance requirements.
    7. Collaborates with CEO, CFO, and Program staff to ensure quality and compliance is integrated into the organization’s day-to-day operations.
    8. Conducts regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of vulnerability and recommend necessary improvements.
    9. Responsible for developing and implementing a quality assurance plan and reporting of results to Executive Management and Program Managers for action.
    10. Establish and lead a quality assurance and compliance reporting and documentation training program.
    11. Monitors changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards and update policies and procedures accordingly.
    12. Provides reports to executive management and Board of Directors upon request.
    13. Assists with the recruitment and training of Board of Directors upon request.
    14. Responsible for the maintaining of Board Minutes, by-laws, resolutions, and Board contact information.
    15. Responsible for the reporting of CSBG Performance Standards, and adherence to CSBG regulations and state plan.
    16. Provides counsel on forms and revisions as necessary for upload to the Agency website.
    17. Collaborates with Executive Team and Board Members to complete the CSBG Needs Assessment and public hearing(s).
    18. Maintains professional confidentiality.
    19. Other duties as assigned.


    Conditions of employment:

    • Active and unhindered Driver’s License. Successfully pass Criminal Background and Child Maltreatment check. Bachelor’s Degree Required; Degree in Public Administration, Community Development, Business Administration or Social Science is preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Occasional lifting and moving of general office equipment, furniture and project materials.  Long periods of sitting, reading, keyboarding alternating with long periods of standing. Driving within the 6-county service area with occasional out-of-area functions/training.
