Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from accredited institution of higher
education
At least five years of experience in education, human resources, compliance, equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, student affairs, or a related field
Demonstrated experience managing Title IX, VAWA/Campus SaVE Act, and Related Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Legislation, Clery Act related matters
Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret federal and state laws regarding discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
Evidence of excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to both, be impartial and project impartiality and establish rapport with a diverse range of the campus and the local community, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations with diplomacy and discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or Advanced Degree with at least three years of related experience
Experience conducting Title IX investigations in a higher education setting
Experience interpreting and applying Title IX regulations in a higher education setting
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with victims of sexual misconduct, sexual and domestic violence, and/or other types of trauma, as well as harassment or discrimination
Supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), SaVE Act, Clery Act, FERPA
Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing and speaking skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a university environment are required
Demonstrated effectiveness working with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff
Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, planning, and project management skills
Policy creation and interpretation skills
Excellent training skills
Ability to manage projects and to work collaboratively
