Compliance Director (Banking) jobs in Amarillo, TX

Compliance Director (Banking) manages operations to identify and respond to suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations as defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Implements oversight systems, interdiction software, and audit processes to perform daily transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Director (Banking) monitors activity and ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols and regulatory requirements for required filings and reporting. Leads investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Additionally, Compliance Director (Banking) maintains extensive knowledge of financial regulations, risk management best practices, and changing fraudulent trends to develop and implement appropriate compliance procedures. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Director (Banking) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compliance Director (Banking) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     • Meet NCLB highly qualified status required (48 accredited college credit hours or passing score on CISD paraprofessional assessment exam)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist the Directors and Coordinator in the development of procedural manuals for all services
    • Maintain budget by preparing, processing, and tracking all purchase orders and payment authorizations for the office of Student Services including Homeless, Pregnancy-Related Services, ESL, Dyslexia, and Health Services.
    • Run monthly Migrant, Residency, Foster Care reports, and Military.
    • Print budgets as requested from staff(weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
    • Assist in the coordination and planning of all meetings, preparation of agendas, and other activities for CISD PRS, Homeless, Foster, Health Services, ESL, MTSS, Dyslexia Specialists, and Counseling.
    • Set up rooms for department PLCs and trainings, clean tables and periodically check to see if things are needed within the room where training is taking place
    • Maintain supply inventory in the storage room and keep organized
    • Self initiate organizational tasks such as purging, shredding, cleaning out old files and other outdated supplies on a weekly basis
    • Check the status of supplies ordered and received bi-weekly and follow up on orders not received
    • Enter absences for the Department of Student Services
    • Make Board Books for Director of Policy & Compliance as needed
    • Order Supplies and enter budget request for Director of Policy and Compliance as needed
    • Assist with registration when needed
    • Assist with receiving, sorting and distributing Health Services supplies
    • Assist Director of Student Services with all state assessments, including ordering and accounting for all secure materials
