About the Job:
The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance including tracking and monitoring drivers' logs, CDL licenses, DOT medical examinations and random drug and alcohol testing and etc. Compliance Coordinator are also accountable for monitoring the standards set forth in the DOT Compliance, Safety, and Accountability (CSA) program. Process and maintain all drivers' records are current and in compliance with federal and state regulations. Ensure that all drivers are well informed and aware of changes and updates in regulations/requirements as directed by corresponding agencies (such as FMCSA, DOT, OSHA).
Essential Duties:
- Ensure accurate and timely implementation of the commercial driver and mechanics initial and ongoing required training, and drug and alcohol program; and modify given regulatory changes and best practices.
- Monitor and maintain driver qualification files to ensure compliance with applicable law.
- Monitor driver behavior to ensure safety, a high level of customer service and efficiency, and compliance.
- Assist Safety Director with daily tasks.
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team of office-based team members locations.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of DOT, FMCSA and state transportation laws, computer skills including Microsoft office, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and accomplish goals and objectives.
- Tenstreet knowledge.
