Position Overview: Nova Farms is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Compliance Coordinator to join our team in the cannabis industry. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations comply with all state and federal regulations governing cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution.
Responsibilities:
● Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal cannabis
regulations.
● Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory
requirements.
● Coordinate with regulatory agencies for inspections and reporting.
● Keep up-to-date with changes in cannabis regulations and communicate updates to
relevant departments.
● Assist in the development and implementation of compliance training programs for
employees.
● Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including reporting violations and
implementing corrective actions.
● Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance in all aspects of cannabis
operations.
● Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field preferred.
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, preferably in the cannabis industry.
● In-depth knowledge of state and federal cannabis regulations.
● Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance software.
● Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Agricultural Practices
(GAP) is a plus.
