    Position Summary:

    Composes, organizes, and edits technical documents under the direction of the Director of Compliance. Assists with administering Isleta Resort & Casino’s BSA/AML program.

    • Plans, develops, organizes, writes, and edits standard operating procedures, manuals, presentations, and management responses to internal and external audit findings.
    • Creates, adapts, and follows project schedules and deadlines.
    • Develops a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues and working with directors/managers to discuss technical problems.
    • Meets with subject matter experts to ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed, discussed, and meet requirements.
    • Stays up to date on Indian gaming standards rules and regulations and internal and external audit findings.
    • Assists in implementing proper tax reporting requirements.
    • Collects and generates daily operations data, analyzing/reviewing data for accuracy and compliance with all applicable Tribal, Federal, State, and Isleta Resort and Casino regulations, to include Bank Secrecy Act (Title 31)/ Anti-Money Laundering Act, IRS required tax forms and other programs that may be implemented. 8.
    • Addresses and furnishes guests with requested personal tax information promptly and accurately.
    • Analyzes and selects the most effective and coherent approach to present information and instructions to ensure optimal reader comprehension, then crafts and refines technical content accordingly.
    • Audits departments within Isleta Resort and Casino for the purpose of providing quality assurance.
    • Produces or commissions graphics and illustrations to enhance or supplement technical documentation.
    • Collaborates with translators as necessary to convert writing into a variety of languages.
    • Revises or updates instructions, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary.

    • Knowledge of Indian gaming standards, rules, and regulations.

    • Ability to write explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
    • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
    • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/ Anti Money Laundering (BSA/AML) requirements.
    • Ability to take direction and feedback well.
    • Ability to explain concepts clearly.
    • Knowledge of planning and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure.

    Education and Experience:


    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field, preferred.
    • Four (4) years’ auditing and/or Compliance experience, required.
    • Three (3) years’ experience working in a technical writing position.
    • Two (2) years casino experience, preferred.

    Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification


    • Must acquire and maintain a Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
    • Pass pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
    • Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.
    • Flexible work schedule, willingness to work any days/hours as needed.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:


    • Must be able to lift, move, and place 25 pounds intermittently.
    • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.

    Working Conditions:

    Work is generally performed in, both, a casino setting with possible exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level, and a high paced office setting. Occasionally may be required to interact with hostile and/or angry guests.
