Compliance Coordinator - Position Description
POSITION SCHEDULE: PART TIME 20-24hrs./wk. – Flexible hours
POSITION PAY: $18 -$20 Hourly
Job Summary:
The Compliance Coordinator at Cresswind Charlotte, reports directly to the private HOA Property Manager, and is responsible for conducting regular inspections of the residential property to ensure residents' compliance with the Associations' Covenants and architectural standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understand and maintain a working knowledge of the Association's Covenants and the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) rules and guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of home lots and homes for the purpose of identifying violations of Governing Documents and reinspect to assure that any previously identified violations have been corrected.
- Initiate the violation process, according to the approved violation procedures, for all violations in order to ensure compliance by home owners.
- Initiate follow up communication, as outlined by procedures to residents to address previous compliance issues that have not been rectified.
- Communicate fines through letters to homeowners and monitor their payment. - Prepare and provide weekly and monthly reports regarding the results of the inspection process to the Property Manager.
- Maintain documentation with supporting evidence and database to track violations and their remediation.
- Prepare information for the Property Manager for any appeals by the homeowner that will be presented to the Board for consideration.
- Liaise with the Architectural Control Committee.
- Other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- No supervisory responsibilities to staff - Supervises the Compliance Process.
Education & Experience:
- Background in Code Enforcement and/or Security a plus, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in training and working knowledge of policies and standards.
- Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, regulations or documents with a similar degree of complexity.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy: Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
- Standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing.
- Ability to work outdoors year-round to inspect properties.
- The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time.
- Driver's License Required. Driving daily will be a requirement.
