The Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance Coordinator will work to continuously improve comprehensive food safety programs and policies and will manage oversight over all product labels to ensure adherence of all USDA regulatory requirements.
Job responsibilities include:
Coordination of all USDA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, State and Federal Regulation compliance in conjunction with the QA Manager.
Point person for all customer complaints, works with QA Manager for all investigation and corrective action.
Stay abreast of all state and federal regulations regarding food product labeling and share all information with necessary departments.
Submission of labels for USDA FSIS Label approval and provide guidance on when necessary to submit labels for USDA Approval versus in house generic approvals.
Work with Research and Development on new labels, keeping all necessary specification sheets and documentation organized and current.
Routine auditing of existing labels and addressing needed changes with corrective actions in a timely fashion.
Collaborate with sales department, design company and other departments to meet the needs of the company while staying within USDA FSIS Label Compliance.
Requirements: BS in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field required. Experience with USDA and or FDA Labeling preferred. Must be extremely detail oriented and organized.
