Summary
Work to coordinate, develop, and administer various compliance projects and initiatives and analyze compliance data and associated business processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform work to coordinate the projects overseen by the compliance department.
- Providing structure and overarching support for the various projects carried out by the compliance team.
- Keeping a pulse on, providing regular updates on, and presenting status reports on the various projects on the compliance team.
- Completing and/or assigning task work as needed and working to ensure the completion of the projects being overseen.
- Perform work to develop the projects overseen by the compliance department.
- Performing research and development work to ensure projects are kept up to date.
- Developing documentation and SOPs regarding the various compliance projects.
- Interfacing with other teams at SMI regarding the continued development and improvement of the projects overseen.
- Perform work needed to administer the various programs and projects overseen by the compliance team.
- Performing tasks and day to day work to carry out and execute on the objectives of the team.
- Supporting and assisting with work being done by other team members to execute on the goals of the team.
- Developing and reviewing documentation regarding the administration of the work of the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Four-year degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of project management experience
- 6 years of experience in technology, security, frameworks, compliance, administration, and / or project work
- Background or knowledge of standards, regulations, and frameworks such as HIPAA, PHI, PCI, ISO standards, NIST, SSAE, etc
- Experience in the following is recommended: Institutional knowledge, translating communications, translating technical to non-technical speak, requirements gathering, creating education content, and experience building great relationships.
- GRC or Auditor or HIPAA or PCI
- CCEP, GRC Professional or Auditor, CompTIA Sec , ITIL Foundations, IT Fundamentals, and CAPM/PMP, HIPAA and/or PCI certifications are recommended

Additional Information
- Tasks are normally conducted in a regular office environment, requiring use of computer and mouse and other standard office equipment. Staff usually remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Staff will observe safety principles while performing the duties of the position
- Staff will be required to travel and have a valid driver's license.
- May need to lift and move items up to 35 lbs on occasion

- Full-time benefits include: Health benefits, Retirement, Paid Time Off
- Starting Pay Range: $48,600-$59,300. Starting pay is based off of qualifications and experience.
