As a Contracts Coordinator you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the contractual agreements between our organization and external parties. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards as well as collaborating with various departments to facilitate smooth contract processes. As an important member of our team, you will be charged with promoting the Buchanan values of Determination, Integrity, Safety and Community in everything they do.
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day:

- Review contracts to identify risks that could lead to legal issues down the road
- Coordinating with outside counsel such as lawyers, insurance brokers to ensure that all contracts are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with organizational goals and legal and insurance requirements are met.
- Work with Management and Accounting Management to see contract through to completion.
- May require communication with customers throughout the process.
- Backup claims when needed
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Experience / Education:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- 1-3 year’s experience with contracts, insurance and/or claims
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
