Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. monitors customer accounts and researches transactions to identify suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses customer data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. reviews daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Questionable Activity Reports (QAR), and submits Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as appropriate. Ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols. Additionally, Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. may lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide a well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Sr. Analyst, Environmental (Water/Air Compliance) supports site-level deployment of SC Johnson's Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) management practices to ensure compliance with local legal requirements and SCJ global standards. This individual will collaborate with managers, supervisors and shop-floor employees to identify and control environmental impacts. While this role requires, safety, health and environmental technical knowledge and experience, success is equally dependent on developing and supporting "champions" within the site to drive day-to-day ownership for SHE.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains SHE compliance assurance processes, including self-assessments and compliance calendars, to enable compliance with applicable laws, permit authorizations and company standards
Supports managers and supervisors in effective shop-floor implementation of SCJ's safety, health and environmental standards
Manages data collection and reporting to support compliance with environmental permits and authorizations
Partners with assigned stakeholders to drive timely, effective closure of identified SHE-related corrective and preventive actions
Collaborates with the site's engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that inspections, testing, preventive maintenance activities associated with SHE-critical equipment and applicable high-hazard chemical processes are defined and appropriately documented
Supports deployment and maintenance of training processes to ensure that required safety, health and environmental training is defined, addresses required content and is tracked to completion
Champions the investigation of safety and environmental incidents and ensures that corrective and preventive actions that address root causes are effectively deployed across the site
Supports stakeholder utilization of SCJ's Management of Change (MOC) process to evaluate and manage potential health and safety hazards and environmental impacts associated with business activity changes
Facilitates the deployment of employee-driven safety and environmental teams and provides technical support for team activities that promote a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace
Provides input on site-level SHE goals and budgets
May provide day-to-day supervision to site SHE technicians
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING:
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline
2 years of Safety, Health, or Environmental experience
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS:
Experience in high-hazard chemical process safety management (PSM) like the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration PSM standard or European Seveso Directive preferred.
Experience in driving day-to-day ownership of SHE processes to non-SHE program "champions preferred.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively interact with others, establishing open, candid and trusting relationships to create win/win outcomes
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Full-time core office hours with expectation to be available for occasional nights/weekends
Up to 10% domestic travel may be required
Work in an office environment will be approximately 50% of time
Work in a manufacturing environment will be approximately 50% of time
