Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. jobs in Rock Springs, WY

Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. monitors customer accounts and researches transactions to identify suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses customer data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. reviews daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Questionable Activity Reports (QAR), and submits Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as appropriate. Ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols. Additionally, Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. may lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide a well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     What to Expect
    The Sr. Insurance Compliance Analyst will report to Tesla's Associate General Counsel, Insurance and will work to help ensure compliance with laws and regulations, that Tesla policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior throughout Tesla is ethical and consistent with Tesla's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

    Seeking a reliable and proactive professional with a minimum of eight years experience in the areas of personal lines insurance licensing, compliance, and legal. The candidate must have a strong understanding of state insurance laws as well as NAIC Model rules and standards. This role will be heavily involved in the insurance operations and compliance processes for Tesla's insurance entities and assisting with issues related to third-party vendors and customers. Primary responsibilities will be to support the legal and compliance department by building and managing compliance products and programs, overseeing regulatory reporting, licensing, and audits, and providing support to department and business partners to aid in the business of the insurance entities and their compliance with a variety of rules and regulations.
    What You'll Do
    • Manage the development and implementation of a system for managing the insurance compliance, licensing, new law, complaints, and critical functions of the insurance operations
    • Collaborate with legal, finance, and project management teams to support product launch plans domestically and internationally
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance team to continuously review and improve compliance procedures, reporting, and programs.
    • Manage regulatory exam, complaint, and legal request response processes and procedures
    • Conduct moderate to high-complexity research to identify state, federal, and international requirements, analysis of applicable laws and regulations, and ensuring that every operation and aspect of the insurance entities adhere to the rapidly evolving business landscape
    • Any other duties reasonably assigned by Company's management
    What You'll Bring
    • Insurance or risk management certifications or specialized training preferred
    • Paralegal or compliance related educations/experience preferred but not required
    • 8 Years of relevant professional work experience related to personal lines insurance
    • Expert-level knowledge with state and federal insurance laws, NAIC standards, and NAIC and department of insurance entity management portals.
    • Proven experience in managing legal and compliance functions for insurance companies.
    • Knowledge about international insurance company management processes and regulations preferred but not required.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
