Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. jobs in Leominster, MA

Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. monitors customer accounts and researches transactions to identify suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses customer data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. reviews daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Questionable Activity Reports (QAR), and submits Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as appropriate. Ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols. Additionally, Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. may lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide a well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Our Compliance team’s goal is to ensure TJX conducts business with integrity and meets all global regulations. The Product Compliance organization contributes to this goal by  ensuring the safety and compliance of products in our supply chain as they travel from the place of manufacture to our store shelves. 

    The Senior Product Safety & Compliance Analyst will play an instrumental role in building a more compliance-aware culture throughout our TJX organization. The Sr. Analyst will assist product compliance leadership to assess training and awareness opportunities, develop and deliver compliance onboarding and training to business partners, and create strategies to continue to meet compliance requirements. This associate will also help the wider team to continue to streamline processes and support our ongoing compliance efforts. This is a hybrid position based in our Marlborough, MA offices.

     

    What You Will Do:

    • Develop and facilitate ongoing training for product buyers, product specialists, merchandise assistants, Distribution Center Services to build a more risk and compliance-aware culture within the organization.
    • Partner with compliance peers and leaders to evolve and maintain our internal compliance portal and identify opportunities for external (vendor) resources as well.
    • Provide analysis and support to merchants on product compliance laws, regulations, and best practices. 
    • Work on projects related to consumer product compliance with US state, federal or local consumer product laws that impact product safety and records management.
    • Team with business partners to respond to incidents and help specific groups remediate findings in product safety assessments as needed.
    • Function as informational customer service resource for vendors looking to do business with TJX.
    • Stay current on US product regulations (CPSC, FTC, EPA, USDA etc.) and provide guidance on standard methodologies and trends which could impact the company's compliance program.
    • Review and validate product test reports, certificate of compliance, and labels to ensure TJX merchandise conforms with both US regulations and TJX requirements.

     

    Who We Are Looking For: You

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
    • 3-4 years comparable compliance experience, Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance or Product Integrity experience with apparel, home decor or other consumer products strongly preferred
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and build effective working relationships with internal and external partners in a constantly evolving environment
    • Comfortable collaborating and partnering with all levels across business functions including Merchandising, Distribution Services, Global Sourcing Offices, Legal, IT, Store Operations, and others
    • Comfortable communicating with all levels
    • Critical thinking skills with common sense, pragmatic approach
    • Highly organized with attention to detail, can prioritize multiple work streams
    • Strong training skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and adapt communication to the needs of the audience
    • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills 
    • Proficient with Microsoft 365/Office suite including Excel as well as database management tools

    This position has a starting salary range of $80,500. to $102,700. per year.

    Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. 

    This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
