Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Summary/ObjectiveThe Pricing Manager is responsible for leading the people, processes, and systems related to the management of the Pricing area by developing pricing policies, delivering maximum profitability, and devising strategies to maximize the value of the molecules within the product portfolio. In addition, this position independently conducts and/or manages the Bid / RFP process, enters pricing in accordance with the published pricing policy and ensures that all necessary compliance steps are performed.
Responsibilities:
· Implement analytical tools and expertise supporting the generic product contracting strategies; evaluation of customer contracting opportunities, competitive analysis, management of contract negotiations,
· Monitor contracts for performance change and compliance with contract terms, drafts, reviews and recommends contract language, and reviews and maintains agreements.
· Conduct pricing preparation, pricing negotiations, pricing administration, and customer contract activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
· Manage and leading Pricing Policy, including employee training, policy compliance, exception protocols, and guidance of Pricing Floor Policy and submissions
· Collaborate in a cross functional environment with departments such as finance, sales and marketing, customer service, supply organization, and legal to communicate all aspects of the contracting process and to ensure the fulfillment of all contractual obligations in a timely and accurate manner.
· Orchestrate the overall pricing validation efforts, customer awards/losses notifications, and new business opportunities processes.
· Prepare, validate and approves pricing analyses and proposals
· Develop and recommends the establishment of SWP, List, and WAC pricing.
· Communicate all applicable product and pricing data with State Authorities.
· Prepare bids, processes specifications, and prepares progress, execute price change documents, including pricing amendments, new contract loads, compliance documents, and gains necessary approvals.
· Compile and analyzes data utilizing both external sources and internal systems; and maintains historical information.
· Coordinate contracts to ensure that standards for contracts and pricing proposals, including contractual clauses/language and decisions regarding contract pricing are in alignment to approved company guidelines.
· Prepare standard financial reports related to RFPs and rebates and develops systems and procedures to track programs.
· Professionally represent the interests of Company with customer requests while securing contractual relationships for the sale of products.
· Monitor purchases for performance change and compliance with contract terms.
· Foster decisions and processes that minimize chargeback discrepancies and customer deductions.
· Collaborate with finance and customer service for proper identification and payment of the discrepancy and/or deductions.
· Provide consultation and support to other operational managers and works cross-functionally as part of a cohesive team environment.
· Oversee/verify/audit entry of all pricing, including List, WAC and AWP into SAP and I-Contracts.
Education and Experience
· BA/BS degree
· Minimum five to eight years related work experience including at least two years of commercial generic pharmaceutical pricing experience (i.e., managing the internal contract process, hands-on contractual work, document submission, negotiations, execution, and customer service)
· Experience developing work flow systems and procedures
· Experience developing and customizing documents from templates
· Experience in pharmaceutical Generic business preferred; familiarity with the business and regulatory environment, organization structure, functional roles and responsibilities, pharmaceutical terminology preferred
· Experience managing and processing rebates, fees and discounts; knowledge of related legislation, contracting and pricing guidelines
Scope of Authority and Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervisory duties at this time, but may have direct reports as department grows. Position requires client interactions, management and decisions with considerable impact on company operations and budget.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a regular full-time position. May require weekend end work to finalize RFP/bid proposals and meet established timelines.

The position may some overnight travel.
