Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Pricing
    Manage system pricing for contracted items and other open market prices
    Support and coach the business through the annual price change process
    Communicate pricing changes internally
    Create and maintain the formal pricing change flow process
    Educate team members on the price change process and merits of following protocol
    Report impacts, risks, and opportunities to the EVP monthly, regarding pricing
    Work closely with Inventory Procurement to take inbound cost changes and move those cost changes to the equivalent or better price shifts

    Product Supply Agreement Management
    Produce and supply Product Service Agreements (PSAs) to the field in a timely manner
    Load, catalog, and document PSAs, both old and new
    Confirm all the contractual (PSA) pricing elements are loaded into the system correctly.
    Create and maintain the formal documents
    Provide cadenced reporting to the EVP and sales staff regarding supply agreements that are within negotiating ranges of cancellation or dead ending soon.
    Report impacts, risks, and opportunities to the EVP monthly, regarding PSAs in any specific period

    eCommerce/Portal Support
    Manage customer access to the portal, and launch introduction content to customers
    Assist with process improvement for our customers and sales staff
    Assist customers and sales staff with eCommerce implementation and strong adoption methodologies

    Sales Support
    Work to educate the field on proper pricing methodologies.
    Create and manage frequent reporting to EVP on pricing risks, opportunities, gaps, and new potential methodologies.
    Work with sales staff bi-annually, one v one, to review entire customer roster for revenue gaps and opportunities, as well as potential risks and errors

    Required Skills/Experience:
    Three years experience using an ERP system
    Three years Customer Service experience
    Above average Microsoft Suite skills (Excel, Word, Power) Ability to work in teams and individually
    Above average communication skills (written and verbal)

    Preferred Skills/Experience:
    Experience with the TIMS ERP system
    Experience with Microsoft Power BI
    Website management experience
