Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Description

    This role is hybrid remote with 40% monthly in-office presence in Mount Prospect, Illinois. (2-3 days in office per week)

    Act as a profit and growth manager for Power Tools North America (PTNA) by developing and maintaining PTNA pricing strategies and steering the direction for customer negotiations. Ensure harmonization across channels and align with PTNA KPI’s. 

    This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    • Analytical think tank for pricing requirements (pricing intelligence for price increases, PLRs, etc).
    • Identify strategic customer/products/segments that require pricing adjustments to achieve higher margins, enhance market value and/or increase win rates.
    • Ownership of the UP policy guidelines, implementation and enforcement and drive cross-functional team within ONE PTNA
    • Evaluate rebate & co-op agreements and determine where we need to negotiate for more equitable terms across channels including backend customer charges
    • Develop and deploy a ONE PTNA pricing strategy across business segments and sales channels to achieve sales KPIs.
    • Implement a harmonized regional terms & conditions concept for PTNA

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or Finance with 5 years of experience in relevant field
    • Business Unit and/or finance experience 
    • Detail-oriented and organized to manage multiple projects in unison.
    • Results-driven 
    • Highly analytical with a problem-solving aptitude 
    • Proven ability to coordinate and manage topics cross-functionally
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Strong business acumen with understanding of financial KPI's 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
