Conducts market research, assesses data, and develops insights into market trends and pricing strategies. Being a Competitive Pricing Analyst maintains a database of historical pricing data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing and guide pricing decisions. Coordinates tools, reports, and communications for accurate pricing information responsive to market changes. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. Job Purpose or Objective(s): A Pricing Analyst is responsible for determining the appropriate pricing based on a variety of factors. Their duties include conducting market research to learn more about competitor pricing for similar business line, reviewing previous sales data and company revenue needs and deciding a market price for a range of business based on their findings.
