Competitive Pricing Analyst provides analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to develop optimal pricing for geographies and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research, assesses data, and develops insights into market trends and pricing strategies. Being a Competitive Pricing Analyst maintains a database of historical pricing data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing and guide pricing decisions. Coordinates tools, reports, and communications for accurate pricing information responsive to market changes. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. - Manage day to day data required for the Education License portfolio
- Provide detailed quantitative analysis to develop key recommendations
- Develop detailed price/offer recommendations and facilitate with key stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally with Senior Management, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to support the development solutions and new models
- Maintain metrics, transaction plans, and reports
- Prepare documentation required to book revenue
- Drive continuous improvement in quoting processes, systems, and playbooks by identifying and quantifying sources of waste
- Assist in and/or lead critical projects including licensing portfolio projects
- Provide analytical support for projects and ad hoc data requests for cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s in Economics, Marketing, Business, or related discipline a plus
- 3 - 8 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment that requires engaging stakeholders to understand and respond to their needs
- Intellectually curious and passionate about exploring new ideas and technologies to solve ambiguous problems with a disciplined approach
- Understanding of models and the implication of outliers
- Experience with business model development
- A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.
