Being a Competitive Pricing Analyst maintains a database of historical pricing data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing and guide pricing decisions. Coordinates tools, reports, and communications for accurate pricing information responsive to market changes. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager.     POSITION  SUMMARY

    Provide accurate pricing throughout all departments of the store in accordance to the company policy and direction.
    Print and attach price tickets to articles of merchandise using one or several methods, such as marking price on tickets    by hand or using ticket-printing  machine.

    Essential  Functions Statement(s)
    • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
    • Put price information on tickets, marking by hand or using ticket-printing   machine.
    • Compare printed price tickets with entries on purchase orders to verify accuracy and notify supervisor of discrepancies.
    • Pin, paste, sew, tie, or staple tickets, tags, or labels to   article.
    • Record number and types of articles marked and pack articles in   boxes.
    • Mark selling price by hand on boxes containing  merchandise.
    • Record price, buyer, and grade of product on tickets attached to products   auctioned.
    • Keep records of production, returned goods, and related  transactions.
    • Indicate item size, style, color, and inspection results on tags, tickets, and labels, using rubber stamp or writing instrument.
    • Change the price of books in a  warehouse.
    • Coordinate pricing files for weekly ad(s).
    • Perform weekly pricing changes for all departments dictated by warehouse and   supervisor.
    • Prepare signs for all displayed merchandise throughout the  store.
    • Verify shelf merchandise to ensure pricing  accuracy.

    SKILLS  & ABILITIES

    Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED):   Required
     
    Experience: 1 plus years of experience in Grocery Store  Work

    Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, cash register, MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook   (email).
