Competitive Pricing Analyst provides analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to develop optimal pricing for geographies and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research, assesses data, and develops insights into market trends and pricing strategies. Being a Competitive Pricing Analyst maintains a database of historical pricing data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing and guide pricing decisions. Coordinates tools, reports, and communications for accurate pricing information responsive to market changes. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing pricing data and trends to help DSV remain competitive in the transportation and logistics industry. They will work closely with other departments, including sales and operations, to develop pricing strategies that drive business growth.
Duties And Responsibilities
Analyze pricing data and trends to identify areas where Chariot can improve its pricing strategies.
Run point on all RFPs, RFQs, and formal pricing events.
Develop pricing models and strategies that take into account factors such as market conditions, competition, and customer demand.
Work closely with sales and operations teams to understand customer needs and develop pricing proposals that meet those needs.
Monitor pricing performance and adjust pricing strategies as needed to remain competitive.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that pricing strategies align with overall business objectives.
Maintain pricing databases and ensure that pricing information is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
Experience and requirements
2 years of experience in a pricing or analytical role in the transportation and logistics industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with large amounts of data and identify trends.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
