Jack in the Box is seeking a Pricing Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the marketing team with recommendations and implementation of pricing for core items and limited time offers. Conducts ongoing analysis of costs, competitive insights, and the macro environment to ensure that pricing decisions are profitable. Also responsible for building dashboards, working collaboratively with multiple departments, and providing actionable insights that can be presented to franchisees and leadership.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides analytical support for menu pricing changes.
• Leverages data to shape strategies, prioritizes initiatives and makes recommendations to grow restaurant profits through strategic pricing decisions.
• Partners with point-of-sale team on timing and accuracy of all menu price changes and promotional pricing.
• Designs and conducts pricing surveys for limited time offers. • Creates dashboards in Tableau and other systems as needed.
• Evaluates tactical pricing process and collects input from stakeholders to recommend process improvements.
• Uncovers pressing business needs requiring analytical insight and conducts analysis to answer critical questions.
• Monitors competitive pricing, supply chain inputs, and market information to inform pricing decisions.
• Supports partner teams with regular reporting, ad-hoc analyses, and deep-dive projects from start to finish using industry best practices and unique self-driven ideas.
• Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in information technology, marketing, economics, or a technology & math focused degree.
Experience - 4 years of related analytics, technology, pricing, and/or marketing. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills. • Working knowledge of implementation best practices and change control. Advanced Excel skills required. • Must have basic understanding and experience working with some but not all software systems, including but not restricted to SQL and Tableau. • Requires the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, work well under pressure & tight deadlines. • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate well with others are necessary. • Proficient knowledge of relevant technology and tools. • Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior. • Translates analysis into actionable results.

The range for this position is $77,100 - $109,700 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
