Compensation and Benefits Supervisor leads a team in developing, implementing, communicating, and administering compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Supervises daily compensation and benefit operations including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis, planning for health and welfare, retirement, and work life benefits. Being a Compensation and Benefits Supervisor coordinates with outsourced providers. May provide customer support to managers and staff with compensation or benefits questions. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Compensation and Benefits Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation and Benefits Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Benefits Claims Associate is responsible for various administrative tasks related to services and claims for our health plans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with exceptional communication skills, and a background in healthcare/insurance processing.


    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure accuracy of claims adjudication while maintaining quality and turn around goals.
    • Adjudicate medical, dental and vision claims.
    • Review plan documents for various groups to apply appropriate benefits to claims being adjudicated.
    • Prioritize assigned claims by adjudicating oldest claims first.
    • Communicate effectively with internal auditors and management team.
    • Perform other related duties, as assigned.


    • Experience in health care billing or a background with a health insurance carrier or Third-Party Administrator strongly desired.
    • Solid time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, while working with a sense of urgency.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Keyboard and Windows skills a must.
    • Ability to work using with Excel spreadsheets.
    • Eager to learn the TPA industry and new concepts and processes.
    • Blue Care experience and medical coding and terminology a plus.
