Description
Management and Construction Solutions Inc, an industry leader in the management of construction upgrades and installations of large industrial projects, is looking for an experienced accountant to fill the role of Projects Control Lead. This is a full time year round position with a one year duration in Skowhegan, ME. Permanent relocation is not required but onsite work is required for 20-25 days per month. A per diem allowance for housing and food as well as compensated travel between site and home are provided.
As a Projects Control Lead you will be responsible for the accurate compilation and tracking of job-related costs including:
- Review/Compile/Track daily time sheets from the various onsite contractors
- Review/Verify/Approve/Track project purchase orders
- Review/Verify/Audit/Approve/Track all project related invoices from all contractors
- Tracking/Forecasting project change orders
- Compile/Maintain project financial information, including cash flow projections, budgets, monthly accruals for unbilled work and extra work orders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 3 years accounting experience OR 5 years related field experience
- SAP knowledge is a must
- Attention to detail is critical for success
- An understanding of construction, capital projects, budgets, costs, auditing, T&M contracts and lump sum contracts, Letters of Credits, bonds, performance guarantees, insurance is helpful
Compensation
- $40-$60 per hour, depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position so overtime hours are paid at 1.5x base rate. Based on anticipated workload of 50 hours per week based on experience, weekly wages are expected to exceed $2,200 for the duration of the project.
