Compensation and Benefits Manager manages the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures that compensation and benefits programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Being a Compensation and Benefits Manager develops and manages compensation and benefits budgets. Oversees compensation processes, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Manager manages benefits planning and programs including health and welfare, retirement, and work life. May select and manage outsourced providers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation and Benefits Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation and Benefits Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. JOB SUMMARY:
Administer the College’s compensation program to include developing, implementing and administering compensation policies and programs. Complete salary surveys, conduct research, analyze data, and prepare compensation recommendations and reports. Assist the Associate Vice President and Senior Director of Talent Management with the College’s workforce planning efforts. Consult with various departments and supervisors on organization and job design and related projects. Prepare job descriptions, conduct position audits, and recommend appropriate pay band classification and salary. Conduct research on special compensation related topics and compliance issues, and assist in preparing correspondence, reports, proposals and compensation program communication and presentation materials.
SUPERVISION:
This position reports to the Senior Director of Talent Management. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a hybrid, client-facing role, and should be on campus four (4) days weekly. Most of the work of the incumbent is carried out within a generally accessible, safe, indoor environment. The incumbent will be required to use a personal computer and associated equipment as well as other office equipment used in the day-to-day operations. The incumbent may need to deliver various materials on campus requiring the ability to walk or drive or make other travel arrangements.
